Value of promotion Banners and signs

Posted on May 25, 2012 at 12:45pm 0 Comments

So I started working with a company based in Phoenix that makes signs and banners and had a revelation.

It is a very cost effective way to get the word out that you are in business.

If you have a truck that you use every day and own a business, doesn't it just make sense to put vinyl lettering on your vehicle, that advertizes your business everywhere…

Appropriate Content for your market

The three most appropriate topics for your potential clients and partners.

1. Saving money on energy. There are many ways out there to save money on energy but usually the systems in place block the savings with tremendous up front costs to convert existing systems.

There are a few that can work around this and here is one very inexpensive way to achieve this goal.…

Knowing what you don't know

Posted on May 16, 2012 at 3:41pm 0 Comments

The first obvious question is of course:

How is that possible?

Let me share something with you.

There are steps in learning any new subject.

The First is finding a reliable source that shows you something new. Then if you can accept that it might be new and then that it is workable for application to your life or goals, you can apply it to your life.

As you start to absorb new information there will come a new revelation…..

You will get some…

The Dedication and due dilligence

Sometimes when you are a filmmaker on the cutting edge

you feel like you've stuck your neck out just a little too far

and a little support from your fellows can go a long way.

That's why I built this site in the first place.

I wanted to tell you that you're not alone.

When the world is smashing cymbals and warning buzzers all around you,

you keep shooting and editing.

Something important that I think is often missed.

There are a series of steps that I think many miss when planning or preparing for a production.

Really this is so broadly applicable that I thought I would just cut and paste this from Seth Godin's blog here.

Many of us don't have any idea there is a formula to this and I feel I have been the source of too many ideas here so I thought I would start sharing from other sources.

The hierarchy of success

I think it looks like this:

Thanks for that, my writing partner and I are always wondering if we should just film stuff ourselves... I mean, like most writers, we feel we are talented at putting pen to paper but most directors we meet have written there own things... thanks for the comment!!!

What website did you mention where I could download a format template?

I might be interested in writing horror. Is there a treatment available? Are you considering scenes by various writers, or all scenes by one?

I'm still working on converting the play. It's pretty dramatic, but since it all takes place in an old cabin with a cast of 4-5, I'm a little concerned about it being too static on film. I'll need help with the kinds of shots that would
improve that. I was thinking of occasionally moving from inside to outside, but the one thing I can't write around is snow, which is the whole reason these strangers are stuck together in this cabin. And there's no way I know of to fake snow.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Rob,
Your site is beautiful, but I'm a bit clumsy yet finding my way around. You said a 10-page minimum script for the contest. Is there a max length? I'm thinking of converting a play I wrote some years ago. I never did anything with it but for some reason it keeps haunting me. The set is simple, the cast small, the action quite dramatic, so it might work. Second question: how perfect does the script format have to be?

I will be glad to be a part of anything that will sanitize any situation. I have a feeling that something has gone amiss but you are trying hard to restrain yourself from exploding. Please don't drop the sledge hammer yet.

Hi Rob, thank God that i have finally ended up at a film makers ning. I am a writer/ director from Ghana. i have over 100 television productions to my credit. I have just finished with the screenplay for my first feature and i want a financier or a partner to invest in the production. the production will be shoot in Africa and the story is set in the late 70's and early 80's in Ghana. Can i get a partner or investors from any of the groups here? Don't forget, some great movies have come from Africa lately
