I have my preferences, and am ready to get started.

All members of the group are formally invited to vote now on the preffered script to shoot. I will take your suggestions into advisement and we will determine the shooting script this weekend.
No votes will force me to make my own decision.
All votes need to be determined on an unbiased viewpoint regardless of personality, disagreements or agendas.
Let's be professional here guys.
I have worked with all types of people and found the value in some where we had definite personality conflicts.
This is only to be on the merit of the script. Workability shoot-ability and emotional impact/originality.

Cast your votes here.

The reference to a feature was to put some perspective on the time frame expected for a quality production. Try not to read between the lines. It will only create confusion.

Whatever happens will be as predicated on the 15th. So relax, the site is actually sanctuary for all for the success story I was referring to.
Just to give you a heads up on preproduction, for a feature film it often takes as much as 2 years before the first frame is shot.
Patience is a necessary thing in any case. So far, your script looks pretty good for the shoot. We all have to make a decision though not just me alone, hence "The Collaborative"

Hello, I'm a new member and I just wanted to say hello. I'm an actor/writer here in NM and I'm looking to help anyway I can.

Thanks, Robert

Really you guys should let a producer give insight to these types of problems. If you have any doubts check out sanctuary.com for a successful example of what I am trying to accomplish here. That might give you some perspective on the possibilities.

I just talked to a friend that has a green screen studio and plenty of equipment for that type of shoot. sets can be built in miniature to accomidate a small budget and look like anything you want, so no problem.

How tough do you think it would be to portray Albuquerque in the year 2070? Is it possible to do cyberpunk on the cheap?

I'll have mine formatted in a day or two. Cheers!

I think two weeks may be a little short considering the activity we see so far I would like to get some more help with referrals for this. Perhaps some other members can invite more people to this activity even for help with production and acting. The deadline should be around mid February I think we should stop taking submissions on the 15th and make a decision by the 20th with a target to start shooting by the first of March.

I absolutely agree. I'll get a few more people to get their scripts in soon.

There are a total of 11 members in this discussion group and only two people have put up anything for consideration. I'm not saying no to making Chad's short, all I'm saying is that we need to set a timeline and we need more sauce to add to this pot. We shouldn't go by just the three that's in here now. Lets say two weeks from now is the deadline of having what you want read to be produced and then give it a week and then its voted on by the discussion forum. You can make it what you want but with out some sort of timeline we're going to be just floating around in limbo. Come on people! We need way more action in the group!
