A site to unite.

Watch this video to get a grasp of what I am planning long term for our group.
Find more videos like this on Streaming Indy I want to see everyone realize that this can be a viable business. If we can actually glean some profit from a 20 minute piece people will take notice because that is in direct opposition to the current models. My goal is to use this site to get as much attention as we can, in as many ways possible with a focus on the business of distribution and production through the social network, providing some tools to help the Independent. I've been pretty busy trying to pave new roads in this field and making some great connections along the way. One of them is From the heart productions and The Roy W. Dean Film and Writing Grants. Carol Dean talked to me personally on the phone today and is very interested in what we are creating on this site.
They will be promoting us and I want all the members here to look at what they are doing to help filmmakers there at the foundation.

Kindred spirit with a common goal: To make it more viable for the creators of film to keep making film.

Another brief look at the Mission Statement here on Streaming Indy: We want this site to remain free to all the members
and to give new filmmakers an opportunity to hone their craft.
To create a new means for filmmakers to reach a broader audience without selling out to mainstream media.
Pioneering a new distribution model for filmmakers of the future to accept that the web can be used solely as a source of revenue to promote and distribute their art.
As a result of this workable model for small production companies to create a viable business, developing the product of web distributed movies and 'webisodes' hosted here and on other sites allowing the creativity to be untangled in the necessity of unwieldy production budgets and venture capitalist agendas and projected risk to income limitation.
Freedom of expression is the key to our future as artists and that is what we support here on Streaming Indy.
